MARGARET M. WOYTOWICZ, age 95, of Cornell, WI, formerly of Gilman, WI, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls, WI. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church Church in Lublin, WI. Fr. Marion Talaga will officiate and burial will follow in parich cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church, on Saturday, from 9am until time of service.
Margaret Marie Bagnowski was born on November 7, 1921 in Necedah, WI, to Joseph and Lottie (Kulik) Bagnowski. She was raised and educated in the Necedah area. Marge was united in marriage to John Damski on October 3, 1942 in Necedah. After her marriage, they moved to the Town of Roosevelt, rural Lublin, WI, where they farmed until John's death in December 1965. She later married Walter Woytowicz and together they ran the Miller Dam tavern for six years until their retirement. They then moved to Gilman. After Walter's death in 2011, she continued to reside in Gilman until entering the Cornell Care Center, where she lived until her death.
Marge had many interests, but especially loved gardening, fishing, sewing and hunting. She was a member of St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, in Lublin, and its Ladies Aide Society.
She is survived by one daughter: Sarah (Larry) Olejniczak of Holcombe, WI; two grandchildren: Lauren Olejniczak (Sheri Kellner) of New Holstein, WI, Angela (Scott) Kortan of Williston, ND; three great grandchildren: Jadyn, Ashley and Rochelle; and two great-great grandchildren: Ethan and Kelen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, John and Walter; one grandson, John J. Olejniczak; two sisters: Pearl Feliszak and Frances Hresil; four brothers: Frank, John, Tony and Louis Bagnowski.
