Full Obituary

VERONICA TYZNIK, age 87, of Thorp, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin. Fr. Marion Talaga will officiate and burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Joanne Telisczak, Sara Telisczak, Jacob Telisczak, Jennifer Telisczak, Alexander Tyznik and Kaitlyn Tyznik. Visitation will be held at Thorp Funeral Home on Monday, August 3, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm, and again at the church, on Tuesday, from 9:30am until the time of service.
Veronica Romanowski was born on March 8, 1928 in Withee, WI, to Jaroslaw and Helen (Domkiewicz) Romanowski.  She was the thirteenth out of fourteen children, and grew up in the Clark County area. She was united in marriage to Roman "Ray" Tyznik on November 27, 1954 at St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin.  They then moved to Chicago, IL for two years where Veronica did factory work at the Advance Transformer Co. while Ray worked in construction. The couple then moved back to the Thorp area, where they bought Veronica’s parents’ farm.  Veronica and Ray farmed until their retirements and resided there until their deaths.
Veronica was a member of St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church and enjoyed farming, gardening, the flowers she grew, and her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her children: Margaret Tyznik, (Jim Szemraj) of Missouri, Joanne (Steve Sr.) Telisczak of Gilman, Kenneth of Thorp, Alan (Desilyn) of Thorp;  9 grandchildren: Eric, Ryan (Sarah), Steve Jr., Sara, Jacob, Jennifer, Lyndsey, Kaitlyn, Alexander; one great grandchild; 2 sisters: Anne Luzinski of Springfield, IL, Frances Larson of International Falls, MN; one sister-in-law: Florence Romanowski of Thorp; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Roman, on July 26,2008; and her siblings: Frank in infancy, Joseph, Edward, Sophie Zaremba, William, Anton, John, Marie "Mary" Luzniski, Josephine as a child, Marion in infancy, and Paul.
