Full Obituary

     LILLIAN A. "LIL" ESKILDSEN, age 86, of Loyal, died at Country Terrace Assisted Living, in Abbotsford, on Wednesday, May 6, 2015.  Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Loyal.  Rev. Daniel Zimmerman will officiate and burial will follow in the Lutheran Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be James Eskildsen, Andrew Eskildsen, Brian Eskildsen, Todd Eskildsen, Michael Hribar, Nicholas Eskildsen, Eric Eskildsen and Justin Eskildsen.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, from 4pm to 7pm, and again on Monday, from 10am until time of service.
     Lillian Andrina Moretz was born on December 16, 1928 in Perry, Iowa, the daughter of Guy and Myrtle (Brunsvold) Moretz.  She was born and raised on the family farm and received her education in the Perry area.  After completing her schooling, Lil worked on the home farm and helped a neighbor with his ailing wife.  She was united in marriage on February 2, 1947 to Glen S. Eskildsen in rural Northwood, Iowa.  They farmed in Iowa until 1966, and then moved to a farm northwest of Loyal, where they farmed until February of 1979, and then moved into Loyal.  Lil worked at Figi's for 2 years, and then at St. Joseph's Hospital for 17 years.  After her husband's death on December 24, 1997, Lil retired and resided in Loyal until moving to her son, Arlen's, home in 2009.  She resided there until entering Country Terrace Assisted Living in 2012.
     Lil was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its TLCW, the Lone Pine Homemakers Club, and was a former member of the Clark County Choraliers.
     She had many interests, but especially loved being with her family, ceramics, crocheting, cooking, sewing and quilting.
     She will be dearly missed by her children:  Merle (Dianne) of Sturgeon Bay, WI,  Lynn (Tootie) of Loyal, WI,  Virginia Hribar of Conroe, TX,  Bruce (Debbie) of Spring, TX,  Arlen (Rhonda) of Loyal, WI;  15 grandchildren;  33 great grandchildren;  2 great-great grandchildren;  4 brothers:  Russell Moretz of Hanlontown, IA,  Art (Sharon) Moretz of Northwood, IA,  Allan Moretz of Northwood, IA,  Wayne (Cindy) Moretz of Bozeman, MT;  one sister:  Marge (Rick) Low of Northwood, IA;  one brother-in-law:  Dan Clayton of Austin, MN;  2 sisters-in-law:  Joanne Moretz of Northwood, IA,  Sandra Moretz of Medford, WI;  many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     Lil was preceded in death by her parents;  her husband, Glen; one grandson:  Jason Eskildsen;  one great grandson:  Carter Wells;  one sister:  Anna Clayton;  and 2 brothers:  Donald and Richard Moretz.
