     ANGEL M. SCHECKLMAN, age 62, of Loyal, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on September 18, 2026 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI.  Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, September 25, 2026 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal.  Rev. Matthew Szymanski will officiate, and burial will follow in Corpus Christi Catholic Cemetery in Bakerville, WI, rural Marshfield.  Visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Thursday, September 24th from 4pm to 8pm, and on Friday morning from 9am until time of service.

     Angel Marie Weis was born on June 28, 1964 in Neillsville, WI, to Charles R. and Grace I. (Zinthefer) Weis.  Lovingly known as “Charlie’s Angel,” she shared a special bond with her father that remained a beautiful part of her life.  Angel grew up on the family farm and attended school in Loyal, where she was proudly crowned Cornfest Queen in 1981.  She graduated from Loyal High School in 1982, and was united in marriage to the love of her life, Peter J. Schecklman, on September 23, 1983 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Loyal,  beginning the next chapter of a life filled with family, love, and countless memories.

     Angel devoted much of her life to caring for others.  She worked in childcare most of her life, primarily in the nursery.  She also opened her heart and home as a foster parent, touching the lives of countless children and families along the way.  Many of those relationships continued long after they left her care.

     Family was everything to Angel.  She shared 43 years of marriage with her husband, Peter, and was the proud mom of Matt (Kim), Ryan (Kehly), and Cody, grandma to Daelyn, Kilyn, Adalynn and Killian, and foster mom to Jason Wampole, his wife Claudia and their children, Marcus and Sophia, who remained close to Angel, Peter and their family.  She loved nothing more than watching her kids and grandkids in all their activities: racing, volleyball, ice skating, spelling bees, cheer events & taking them to the pumpkin patch.

     Angel never met a stranger and could talk to anyone.  She loved spending time with her friends and family enjoying wine, laughing, traveling and making memories.  She was always ready for an adventure and always dragging Pete out of the house on the UTV or the Jeep to find a band, stop at a bar or just go for a cruise. Everyone who knew her will remember her snorting laughter.

     She is survived by her husband, Peter; sons: Matt (Kim), Ryan (Kehly), and Cody; grandchildren: Daelyn, Kilyn, Adalynn, and Killian; her mother, Grace; sisters: Victoria (Leon) Piech and Lisa Pipkorn (Matt Gilles);  along with extended family, dear friends, and the many children and families whose lives she touched.

     Angel was preceded in death by her father, Charles; sister, Pam Haebig; brother, Chris Weis; and brother-in-law, Brian Pipkorn.

     Angel will be remembered for her huge heart, infectious personality, adventurous spirit, and the love she gave so freely. She never just entered your life—she left a piece of herself behind.
