A Celebration of Life to honor Willie will be held at Cindy's, in Thorp, on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 5pm to 8pm.

       WILLIAM S. "WILLIE" BIELECKI, age 79, of Thorp, WI, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026 at Clark County Rehab & Living Center in Owen, WI.  A Celebration of Life to honor Willie will be held at Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Cindy's, in Thorp, from 5pm to 8pm.  Willie's family encourages everyone to wear their Packer gear.  A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Boyd, WI at a later date.
     William Stanley Bielecki was born on April 7, 1947 in the Town of Reseburg, rural Thorp, to Frank and Veronica (Platt) Bielecki.  He was raised on the family farm, received his education at Eastside and Butler Schools, and graduated from Thorp High School in 1966.  After high school, Willie enlisted into the U.S. Army on November 3, 1966, and served until his honorable discharge on November 1, 1968.  He was united in marriage to Ellen L. Erickson, and they later divorced.  Willie worked for Joe Lato building pole sheds, and later worked for Joe as a stainless-steel welder for Thorp  Equipment.  He was united in marriage to Linda L. Kopacz on August 31, 1991.  Willie retired from Thorp Equipment after almost 40 years of employment.
     He was a member of the Thorp American Legion Post 118.
     Willie had many interests, but especially enjoyed gardening, tinkering, building birdhouses, hunting, and was a Big Packer fan.
     He will be dearly missed by his wife, Linda, of Thorp; two sons: Chris and Corey, both of Thorp; one daughter, Missy Kopacz (Mike Smith) of Fond du Lac, WI; two grandchildren: Rachel and Logan Bielecki; one brother, Tony Bielecki, of Stanley, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     Willie was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Leonard, Dominic and George Bielecki; and two sisters: Theresa Fifer and Rosaline Rice.
     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to the Thorp American Legion Post #118, PO Box 421, Thorp, WI  54771 or to a veterans service organization of their choice.
