Full Obituary

     DALBERT J. MONDLOCH, age 93, of Marshfield, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2018 at the House of the Dove. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood, where his family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate, and burial of cremains will follow in the parish cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Greenwood American Legion Post #238.
     Dalbert Joseph Mondloch was born on March 18, 1925 in Port Washington, WI to Mathias and Lenora (Weisner) Mondloch. He attended grade school at various schools in Washington County and high school in West Bend, WI. Dalbert enlisted in the Navy in October 1942 and served in the Atlantic and Pacific theatres before he was discharged in March 1946. Following his service, he worked on the family farm from 1946-1948, then went on to work at Roddis Lumber and Veneer, Grassland Dairy (Wuethrich Creamery), Bushman Enterprises, and finally his son’s business, the Mobile Store.
He married Virginia M. Bushman on June 21, 1948 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Greenwood, and had two sons, John and Warren.
     Dalbert was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of Fatima Council 4963, and a member of the Greenwood American Legion Post 238.
     Dalbert enjoyed bowling, fishing, and spending time with his family.
     He is survived by his daughter in law: Pamela Mondloch; 3 grandchildren: John Mondloch, Tara Mondloch (Patrick Hamm) and Reagan (Ray) Brown; 10 great grandchildren: Tyler (Sarah) Mondloch, Aryn Sternweis (Andrew Stevning-Roe), Austin Mondloch, Jessica Schaefer, Cheyanne Mondloch, Mason Mondloch, Shane Hamm, Jacob Hamm, Alyssa Brown, Ashlynn Brown; a great-great grandchild: Parker Warren Mondloch; 3 brothers: Leon (Shirley) Mondloch, James (Cheryl) Mondloch, Allen Mondloch; one sister: Dolores Martens; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife: Virginia; his sons: John and Warren; 3 brothers: Ray, Roland and his wife, Arlene, Robert and his wife, Sandy; his sister: Marcelene and her husband, Hub Schmitz; and brother-in-law: Dick Martens.
     In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dalbert's memory to the House of the Dove.
