I had the pleasure and honor to serve as a member of the WI Legislature [1992-2009], State Assembly, with Rep. Robert "Bob" Zukowski. I am saddened to learn of his passing, and extend my sympathy to his wife, Delores, and family members. Bob was thoughtful, considerate, and dedicated to serving the people, his community, and I much appreciated how he approached issues, and how generously he gave of his time and talents. I valued his positive attitude. To his credit, Bob listened...........and when he spoke, he spoke with knowledge and from the heart.

I surmise many fond memories of Bob resurfaced as you gathered to honor him and his service to public and to country, and his involvements and efforts as husband, dad, grandparent and farmer! A superb individual.

Dolores and family: My deep sympathy in the loss of this patriotic hero! I enjoyed serving in the Legislature with Bob. We shared many a story, a western Wisconsin perspective, and many, many events together. He was so proud of his family, his farm background, his Polish heritage and most of all, of his country and the service he gave to it. People who never serve in public office cannot begin to understand what a toll it takes -- countless meetings, parades, chickenques, and phone calls and constituent service. Bob took it all in stride and did it well. I considered him a great friend.

We are so sorry for your loss. He was a very kind hearted person. I remember him being in the Legion with my father Cyril Alger. When my father was in the hospital, he was the first one there to represent the Legion. I hope he was repaid for all his kindness and concern. May he rest in peace. Our family sends our sympathy.
