Sending my sincere condolences to Bill's family during this difficult time. He was very kind towards my brother Adam & I after our family first moved to Willard in 1988, as we were riding our bicycles up & down those gravel roads trying to find a hay baling job. A few years later, while I was cutting hay for Mark & Judy Shain, Bill did two low "fly byes" in his ultralight aircraft, the first time to smile & wave at me, and the second time to give me a thumbs-up! A great memory that I've cherished these past 33 years - all because we had such a wonderful neighbor in this man!

We would like to send our deepest sympathy to the Lucas family. Bill was an amazing man and will be missed by so many. He was a hardworking farmer but when it came time to clean up and head to town, his slicked, combed black hair and his leather jacket was hard to miss! Rest easy and fly high!
